Schroeder #100 Cello 1/4
The Schroeder #100 1/4 Size Cello boasts a broad sound with superb projection. It is perfect for players with a few years experience or for adult enthusiasts wanting a more focused sound.
It has an attractive red-brown varnish and the physical build of the cello is broader than the Schroeder #30J and Jacquot 100T. The size of the cello, quality of timber and full set of Larsen ‘Medium’ strings all contribute to the rich, full-bodied, warm sound whilst also providing clarity and projection. Its ebony pegs and modern tailpiece make tuning easier, eliminating the hassles normally associated with cheaper cellos.
The Schroeder #100 cellos are most suitable for players at a sixth grade AMEB standard or below. They sits at the top of our ‘beginner range’ but will give most players what they need at an intermediate level. Schroeder #100 cellos are the most popular choice for younger players doing 5th-6th AMEB exams as they are available in fractional sizes (1/4, 1/2, 3/4 and 7/8). The most popular bow and case combination with this cello is the Kreisler Carbon Cello Bow and Kreisler Pod Cello Case with Wheels.
These instruments are beautifully hand crafted in China using solid maple and spruce tone woods and professionally setup by the Luthiers in our Sydney based workshop to ensure good playability and quality of sound.
