Francois Jacquot #400VA Violin
The Jacquot 400VA Violin sits in the middle of the Jacquot range and would suit any intermediate player looking for a warm sounding violin with good projection.
It has a beautiful gold-brown varnish with light antiquing, inlaid purfling, ebony pegs, nut and fingerboard and a tailpiece with in-built fine tune adjusters. It is usually fitted with Larsen Il Cannone strings, which balance out the warmth, adding more clarity and brilliance to the sound. If Il Cannone strings aren’t in stock, then a suitable alternative will be used.
Jacquot violins are generally characterised by their smooth, even tone and have great balance between the upper and lower registers. They are neither overly bright, nor warm and offer great projection and rich overtones. This makes them the ultimate all-rounder instrument, working exceptionally well in both solo and ensemble settings. When compared to the 300 models, the 400VA has richer, more complex sound and this is due to the use of higher quality of wood and workmanship.
Francois Jacquot violins are beautifully hand crafted in China using aged maple and spruce tone woods and professionally setup by a Luthier in Australia to ensure good playability and quality of sound.
