Viola Shoulder Rest/Pad - ArcRest Carbon Fibre, 15"+, Thick Set

The ArcRest is an innovative shoulder pad featuring a comfortable foam pad that fills the gap between your instrument and shoulder, allowing increased freedom of movement over traditional shoulder rests. 

The foam pad is suspended by tiny rubber pads, decreasing contact with the back of the instrument. This decreases damping, freeing up resonance for better sound. 

A longer base that offers more support for larger violas, but still also works great with a violin! The base is 60% thinner than our traditional base, and as it’s made from high-strength carbon fiber cloth and epoxy, practically indestructible.

Sets come with a combination of two of our standard pads to give you added flexibility in finding the right fit for you.

Combined with the standard pads, the overall heights are approximately:

Thin: 0.84″ (a little more than 13/16″), 21.3mm

Medium: 0.95″ (about 15/16″), 24.1mm

Thick: 1.06″ (1-1/16″), 26.9mm

Extra Thick: 1.19″ (1-3/16″), 30.2mm
