Johann Stauffer #805E Guarneri Model Violin 4/4
The Stauffer #805 Guarneri is a German-made violin in the advanced range that would best fit a player doing an AMEB diploma, or maybe considering HSC music or tertiary study. It has a very direct sound, open and clear, with a tendency towards the warmer end of tone. It excels in all registers, with the lower end carrying plenty of power and projection, and the upper register being very sonorous and resonant.
It has a two-piece back of maple, a finely grained spruce top, amber-red varnish on a golden ground and ebony fittings.
