Schroeder #400EM Cello 4/4
The Schroeder 400EM was handcrafted in China using European timber, with a maple back and sides which are lightly flamed with a medium curl, and a finely grained spruce timber on the top. This instrument is fitted with a french bridge, ebony pegs, a Wittner tailpiece with built-in fine tuners, and a carbon endpin. The cello measures 760mm in length, 340mm along the upper bout, 430mm across the lower bout.
The Schroeder 400EM has a beautiful cantabile character that allows players to explore warmth and elegance in their playing. It is highly responsive to the varying demands of technique and dynamics, and produces a wonderfully balanced tone across all registers of the instrument. This cello has a very comfortable playability and is a great instrument to delve into different playing styles with; it would be suitable for players looking to complete 5th grade through to 8th grade.
