
T. Siqueira Silver Artisan Violin Bow Brazil
This violin bow was made at the Sousa workshop in Santa Teresa, Brazil. Sousa bows was established in 2002 by brothers Julio and Carlos Sousa, and is a firm as dedicated to sustainability and supporting biodiversity in their region as they are to the manufacture of fine bows. Their range extends from violin bows to both French and German bass bows, and nine different models across a variety of price points.
The bow is stamped "T. Siqueira **" and weighs 61.1 grams. It has a round stick of pernambuco with silver wire and black silk lapping, and a leather grip. The frog is of ebony, fully mounted in silver with a pearl eye, and the button is in three parts of ebony and silver. It is in good condition.
