Buying a Cello on our Website

Buying a Cello on our Website

If you've never purchased a cello on our website before you may have some questions around the process. We take great care to ensure that every order is processed and delivered quickly and securely every time. Here is a brief overview of the different steps from the moment you place the order until you receive it.

Step 1 - Place your order online

Find the product that you're after, add it to your cart and check out. Simple! If you need help finding the perfect cello check out our guides or get in touch. We can assist you over email, phone or zoom. Don't forget to add your accessories like a music stand, tuner or spike stopper! Click here to view our starter packs.

Step 2 - We receive & review your order

Our specialist sales team will be notified of your order during business hours shortly after you place the order. You will receive an automated confirmation when you place the order but a real person will actually review your order to make sure that there are no issues. If you have any questions or concerns you can contact us any time.

Step 3 - Your cello is prepared

Every cello is professionally set up by our team of luthiers before it is shipped. This process may sometimes take several days. The reason is that we customise each and every set-up, both for the player and also the climate. So for example, the set up for a cello to the Northern Territory might be different to New Zealand. We also want to make sure that the cello is 'settled' before we ship, to reduce the issues with tuning after it arrives. If you need your cello urgently please contact us before placing your order.

Step 4 - Your cello is packed

It requires great skill to safely pack a cello for transportation with Australia Post or a courier. We have specially designed packaging materials and boxes to ensure that it arrives to you safe and sound. We recommend choosing a cello package that also comes with a hard case, if not, consider buying a hard case for safe shipping.

Step 5 - Your cello is shipped

As soon as our courier collects your cello you will be notified by email or SMS. Standard shipping is included FREE with every cello. Please note that cellos are too large to be shipped with Australia post and cannot be sent to a PO BOX.

Step 6 - Receive your cello & start playing!

Our aim is to supply you with a cello that you can take out of the box and start playing! The cello may have gone out of tune on the journey. If that is the case, check out our video on 'how to tune a cello'. Also check that the bridge hasn't moved during transit. We recommend you have your cello serviced regularly, every 6-12 months. Happy playing!
